Virgil Nielsen, a physician in Riverside, California, is a multi-talented musician who plays both organ and trombone. Nielsen started piano at age six and organ at fifteen. He studied organ under David Garth Worth and Raymond Ruckle, completing an undergraduate degree in organ performance 1977 at Atlantic Union College. He completed a Doctor of Medicine degree at Loma Linda University in 1980 and has been practicing medicine since 1987.
