During his years with Summer Church, Lorentz toured throughout the U.S. with the band, performing gospel songs and his own compositions. His song Gospel Train was played internationally when it was released in 1996.

SC released four CDs in his time with them under the Walkiní on Water Records label. In 2004, they played for the annual fall council meetings at the General Conference headquarters for the Seventh-day Adventist church in Silver Spring, Maryland.

A 2008 CD, Reunion, a compilation of tracks from Summer Church's four CDs includes music from CDs made during his time with the group. Lorentz now resides in Alta Loma, California, where he frequently performs with area bluegrass bands.
