Maudie Carr Hartman
1899 - 1989
Maudie Hartman, a pianist, taught at Union College from 1934-1946 and at Walla Walla College from 1947-1950. She also taught piano and directed choirs at College View Academy in Lincoln while teaching at UC. Her husband, Harvey C. Hartman, served as business manager in both schools.
Hartman was born in Milton Junction, Wisconsin, and died in Loma Linda, California. She completed a BFA in music education at the University of Nebraska in 1939. She was elected to membership in Mu Phi Epsilon while at UN.
