Gennevieve Brown Kibble

 

Gennevieve Brown Kibble is Director of Choral activities at Southern Adventist University, a position she has held since 2005. Previous to this appointment she was Director of Choral Activities at Pacific Union College and an associate professor of music. An accomplished singer, Kibble, a native of Jamaica, West Indies, is also a Canadian citizen.

She completed a B.A. in music education at Andrews University in 1983 and received an M.A. in vocal performance with cognates in choral conducting and vocal pedagogy from Indiana University at Bloomington in 1986. Kibble was awarded a D.M.A. with a major in choral conducting and a minor in musicology from the University of Arizona in 2000.

Prior to going to PUC in 1996, she directed choral ensembles and gave private voice lessons at Columbia Academy in Battleground, Washington, and at Auburn Adventist Academy in Auburn, Washington. Kibble also served as Director of Music for the First United Methodist Church while residing in Auburn.

In addition to conducting choral ensembles at SAU, she provides individual vocal instruction and teaches choral conducting, and vocal pedagogy. She is married to Kevin Kibble.
