Douglas Macomber


Douglas Macomber of Englewood, Colorado, is currently pursuing a new career as a writer of stage plays and screenplays.  A music graduate of Loma Linda University, he earned a master's degree in music at Southern Methodist University, Perkins School of Theology, and a doctorate in music at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He recently completed an MBA degree at the University of Colorado, Denver. 

Prior to his new career, Macomber was director of music and/or organist in Adventist, Methodist, Baptist and Presbyterian Churches, recently retiring after 14 years at the historic Central Presbyterian Church in Denver.  He continues to serve as an organist at the Denver South SDA Church where he is also a church elder.  He produces the annual ThanksCaring Music Festival for Centura Health each November.  His wife, Carol Goude Macomber, runs a private physical therapy clinic in Englewood. They have four children.
