Dorothy Goodrich Reed Moon

1911 - 2004

Dorothy Moon taught violin and theory at three Adventist colleges and in a number of church schools. Her first college position was at Washington Missionary College, now Columbia Union College, where she taught from 1934 to 1937. While at WMC, she served as concertmaster of the orchestra and soloed with them, performing Felix Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor in March 1936.

Moon taught at Union College for two years, 1948-50, and in the late 1950s, taught at Madison College, a self-supporting Seventh-day Adventist school in Madison, Tennessee. She died in Savannah, Georgia, at age 92.
