Dennis F. Neufeld

Dennis Neufeld, a tenor, has maintained a voice studio in Yucaipa, California, since 1973, the year he graduated from Loma Linda University with a B.A. in conducting and voice. He participated in Herbert Blomstedt Orchestral Conducting Workshops at LLU in 1972 and 1974 and, in 1977, was in both the Blomstedt workshop and a choral conducting workshop under Sir David Willcocks.
Neufeld took additional graduate study in music at Redlands University, where he studied conducting under Jon Robertson. He presented a graduate recital in conducting at RU in 1985.
He has held several conducting posts, including assistant conductor with the Brentwood/Westwood Symphony in 1977, and conductor of the Nova Schola Cantorum in Loma Linda for three years between 1975 to 1980, the La Scala Lyric Opera Company in Glendale, California, in 1982-1983, and the LLU Fine Arts Festival Piano Orchestra from 1992-1994. From 1991 to the present he has conducted choirs and bands, as needed, and has been band director and voice instructor at Mesa Grande Academy since 2005.
Neufeld has worked as a professional portrait and commercial photographer based in Yucaipa since 1982. Until 1991, he worked as a photographer of children and, from 1991 to 1993, in Media Services at LLU. He is a lighting consultant for photography in the Loma Linda Health Services Office of Advancement, a position he has held since 2002.
Since 1997, Neufeld has been managing director, associate instructor, and author for Spirit of Truth Ministries. He also has operated AngelSongs Ministries, a Neufeld Family Music Minstry, since 1999.
