Dean Kravig is director of the band and instrument program at Upper Columbia Academy in Washington state, a position he has held since 2006. Prior to going to UCA, he was program director for 5 years at the All Nations Center, a ministry of the Wapato, Washington, Adventist church for Native Americans . He has also taught music at Guam Adventist, Far Eastern, Cascade Christian, and Walla Walla Valley academies.

An accomplished French horn player, Kravig was principal horn in the Walla Walla Symphony for ten years, from 1996 to 2006. A 1986 B.Mus. graduate from Walla Walla College, he completed an M.Mus. in horn performance at Central Washington University in 2004. He and his wife, Lorrie, have four daughters
