Daniel Rodriguez
Daniel Rodriguez, pianist and conductor, graduated with a B.A. from the Universidad Adventista de Colombia and completed coursework in music theory and counterpoint at the Conservatory of Music Vicente E. Sojo. While at UAC, he studied with Philip Hayden and, while subsequently attending Andrews University, he studied conducting under Morihiko Nakahara.
Rodriguez taught music at UAC from 1991 to 1998, directing the band and the handbell choir, and was head of the Department of Music at Northern Caribbean University in Jamaica from 1998 to 2001.
While at AU doing graduate work, he received several scholarships and served as an adjunct instructor in piano. He was also director of music for the Casco United Methodist Church in South Haven, Michigan.
