Clayton Nunes

Clayton Nunes, a versatile musician, has produced and arranged numerous albums and composed hundreds of soundtracks for videos. He taught music at a Seventh-day Adventist school in Brazil from 1996 to 2002 and then moved to the U.S. in 2003, where he works as a producer, arranger and composer.
Nunes was born in São Paulo, Brazil. He started his career at age seven when he was invited to play one of his compositions at a music school recital. At age sixteen, he played tuba in the music group Metal and Cia and arranged and produced two albums for them. Four years later, at age twenty, he won a Nascente (Universidade de São Paulo) prize for composition and became director of the orchestra and band at São Paulo Adventist University (UNASP), a position he held for six years.
While there, he graduated with a degree in music education from the School of Communications and Arts at the University of São Paulo (USP) in 2000, having studied piano with Liliane Vincenzo, Ana Maria Gorski Damaceno, and João Carlos Martins. The following year he received a degree in audio technology from the Audio and Video Institute of São Paulo.
In 2002, the Second Southwest Division of the Brazilian Army honored him with the title of "Amigo do Exército"("Friend of the Army") when they adopted one of his compositions as their official hymn.
Since coming the U.S., Nunes resides in the Washington, D.C., area providing producing, arranging, composing, and conducting services through Clayton Nunes Music Solutions (www.claytonnunes.com). He composed and performed Parade of the Nations for the finale of the 2010 General Conference session of the SDA church held in Atlanta.
