Cecil Lemon, now retired and residing in Maryland, taught music in the Annapolis, Maryland, public schools, and directed choir in Adventist and Methodist churches. He sang for over 40 years as a hired tenor soloist in the Lutheran Church of the Holy Comforter in Baltimore, Maryland, with the Baltimore Opera Company for several seasons, and with numerous choral groups. He continues to give piano and voice lessons.

Lemon graduated from Andrews University in 1963 with a B.Mus. degree. He subsequently completed a D.M.A. at the University of Alabama.
