Beth Thurston
Beth Thurston was organist at the Voice of Prophecy for five years, beginning in 1950 when the VOP moved to its new headquarters. Prior to this appointment, while she was working in the VOP Bible School from 1947 to 1950, she had also helped satisfy music needs at the broadcast. Because the new facility had a vastly expanded recording studio, the keyboard playing demands increased dramatically.
With the new recording studio's professional level tape recorders and fidelity, high quality recordings of songs could be taped in Spanish, Portugese, and, eventually, Japanese for use in programs for Central and South America and Japan. It was an intense schedule which, with the music needs posed by frequent travels and public appearances, created many demands that she effectively met.
