Prodan completed an M.Mus. in piano and organ performance at Redlands University in 1990 and a DMA in keyboard collaborative arts at the University of Southern California in 1996, with music history and theory as minor areas of study. She has studied piano with Louanne Long, Samuel Swartz, Kevin Fitz-Gerald, Eckhart Sellheim, Rita Sloan, Malcom Hamilton, and John Perry and organ with Ladd Thomas.

Prodan was awarded the Gramma Fisher Scholarship from the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz in 1996, received fellowships for the Bach Aria Festival at Stony Brook University in 1997 and the Aspen Music Festival in 1998, and won the Victor Valley Symphony Concerto/Aria Competition in 1999. She is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda, national music honor society.

As an organist, Prodan has served at a number of churches in Southern California, and is a member of the American Guild of Organists. Currently she is the organist at the Campus Hill Seventh-day Adventis Church in Loma Linda. She has been a soloist with several orchestras in Southern California and Romania and has performed with and accompanied numerous instrumentalists and vocalists, including members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. A frequent recitalist with an extensive repertoire in piano and organ, Prodan is a sought after piano teacher and coach.
