Amanda Buchanan, a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a degree in criminal justice, criminology, and psychology, is an amateur pianist and singer and composer. She collaborated with Evelyn Pursley Kopitzke in writing a song that was included in 99 New Songs, a Seventh-day Adventist songbook that was edited and published by Kopitzke in 2003.
